The Spunky Spot: Two Great Meals In One Week!

For Christmas my Grammy gave us some money to go out to eat. We were so excited, because it is really expensive to go to a restaurant here. We took forever trying to decide where to go. We were trying to figure out if we wanted to go to a place that has a cool atmosphere, or go to a place that has a not-so-cool atmosphere and really good food. So we decided to go to Eddy's. Dad and Mom went there on a date once and really loved the atmosphere and the food! Mom has been saying how she loved the coconut and curry shrimp, so I decided to get that. Josh got the same thing. And Beth got the curry chicken, while Mom got the Chinese noodles, and Dad got the steak with pepper sauce. Our food was excellent. Mariane and Georges were watching Silas, Callie, and Micah while we went out to eat, so it was fun to have an evening just the 5 of us. Of course we had to have dessert, so the next day we went to the store and bought 3 boxes of ice cream. That was a treat in itself because whenever we buy ice cream (which isn't that often) we only buy 1 box and split it into 7. But now we had 3 boxes so we split each into 2 and each of us got a half. (don't worry Silas and Callie split a half so they got some too) =D

Silas got Candy Land for Christmas So he decided to bring it with him.(I think Mariane and Georges were a little tired of that game by the time they left)

On Thursday for Valentines we had a Valentines Banquet. Dad said we had to bring a date. But because there were only 2 girls and 1 boy, he said that Josh can bring up to 2 girls. We all got dressed up and went to the banquet (which was our living room) When we got there the waitress (mom) served us drinks while the waiter (dad) served us our appetizer which was rolled ham with cheese inside and really-good, really-yummy fish fritters.

Then we got our meal which was steak, potatoes, and snow peas. As we ate, we watched some valentine skits and then watched a valentine message from North Valley Baptist Church.
